Korea’s leading fashion brand 2000Archives(2000 Archives) is holding a fashion design contest to discover and foster the next generation of fashion designers. The contest is designed to provide a stage for talented individuals with creativity and technical skills to prove their skills and support those who will lead the fashion industry in the future.
The competition offers a variety of benefits to participants, and the winner will receive an official certificate along with a KRW 1 million scholarship. The qualifiers are take-home, and the challenge is to submit a creative idea within the given deadline.
The results of the preliminary round will be announced on Monday, December 2 at 4:00 p.m., and those who advance to the final round will be invited to visit the 2000Archives office on Friday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m. The final round, which will be held on-site, will evaluate participants’ professionalism and potential through a technical test, and will delve deeper into their qualities as designers.
Judged by the fashion industry’s top designers
The competition will be judged by recognized designers from home and abroad to ensure a fair and professional evaluation. The competition will be judged by Daeun Hong, the founder and creative director of 2000Archives. Drawing on her experience as a fashion communications major at Central Saint Martins, a prestigious fashion school in the UK, Hong will focus on creativity and innovation.
In addition, Seungyeon Cho, lead designer of 2000Archives, who has worked for Hanseatic, Calvin Klein, and Coach, and Kangmin Kim, lead designer of 2000 Atelier, who has worked for renowned Japanese designer brands Issey Miyake and Grimes in South Korea, will also participate in the judging process to assess the technical and practical design skills of the participants.
