2000Archives Stages First Offline Presentation With Sport Couture Summer Collection

2000Archives held its first offline presentation in Seongsu-dong on April 23, unveiling a 2022 summer collection themed Sport Couture and made up of 24 looks with a Y2K sensibility.

2000Archives, a new womenswear brand headed by Hong Daeun and Yoon In, held its first offline presentation in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, on April 23. It was the first time the brand had shown a collection offline. The theme of the 2022 summer collection shown there was Sport Couture. Presented under the title Ready, Get Set, Go!, the collection pursued a practical yet elegant result, adding materials and silhouettes drawn from sportswear to the brand's own sense of femininity.

The collection was made up of 24 looks with a Y2K sensibility, including low-waisted bottoms, tight cropped tops and pique dresses. Top model Bae Yoon-young drew attention closing the show with the finale look.

The staging also departed from a conventional runway show. Models stretched while holding dumbbells, conveying the attitude of the confident woman the brand has in mind. The product range was varied, spanning ready-to-wear, underwear and swimwear. The image of womanhood the brand is after came through in the staging as well as in the clothes.

2000Archives is a womenswear brand run by two creative directors from Central Saint Martins in London, Hong Daeun and Yoon In. Since its fall/winter 2020 launch it has presented clothing and accessories inspired by vintage garments, with signature items including printed tights and mesh tops.
