The Korean Labels NewJeans Loves

Hypebeast published a list of Korean local brands that NewJeans has worn at least once, and 2000Archives was among them.

NewJeans, which drew explosive affection from the moment of its debut last year and has followed a path distinct from earlier K-pop idol groups, has been conspicuous in fashion as well. It began with member Danielle being chosen as a global ambassador for Burberry; Hyein was then selected as an ambassador for Louis Vuitton, and Minji and Hanni for Chanel and Gucci respectively.

The looks worn by each member in the group’s music videos have consistently drawn attention. Among them are the “high-teen” styling of the debut song “Attention,” the vintage school look of “Ditto,” and the rabbit-ear hat accent of “OMG.” The outlet focused on how NewJeans has actively mixed and matched items such as funky Vivienne Westwood, classic Chanel and sporty Nike with products from Korean brands. The list, it explained, was drawn up by looking across items used as elaborate stage costumes as well as pieces worn as dance practice wear and in daily looks.

For 2000Archives, the outlet noted that the brand had staged an exhibition in Paris for its second collaboration collection with the stylist Jamie, who works as Airtomyearth. The editor’s pick was the No.2 denim heel boots: denim boots with a sneaker silhouette that make an effortless look stand out, with two-line side lining and a number embroidery patch cited as accents.
