2000Archives Steps Up Collaborations at Home and Abroad
Kyndof's 2000Archives unveils a 12-SKU collaboration with UK label Jaded London on the 26th, followed in April by a women's line with domestic gorpcore brand Grails.
2000Archives, the designer brand run by Kyndof (CEO Kim Seon-bin), is pursuing collaborations at home and abroad in quick succession. This month it launches a collaboration line with the UK brand Jaded London, and next month one with the domestic brand Grails.
The Jaded London collaboration came about at the UK brand's proposal and will be unveiled on the 26th of this month. Jaded London is a British label active across Europe with more than 1.1 million Instagram followers. It is known for a style that follows trends while remaining refined and distinctive, and for reasonable prices, and has drawn further attention in Korea as celebrities including NewJeans, (G)I-DLE member Miyeon and actor Han So-hee have worn it.
Jaded London, which proposes a style combining sportiness with sex appeal, judged 2000Archives — with its bold silhouettes and distinctive prints rooted in vintage archives — to be a fitting partner and approached the brand. The two sides have spent the past six months in design meetings preparing the products, and the collaboration will comprise 12 SKUs.
The line will be revealed first on Jaded London's official website on the 26th and then introduced in Korea on the 28th. A collaboration pop-up will run for one week at the select shop EMPTY in Seongsu-dong.
The collaboration with gorpcore brand Grails, due in April, will be presented as a women's line. With Grails expanding from men's into women's, the pairing is expected to generate greater interest. Ahead of the line's launch, part of it was previewed this month through Grails' EQL Seongsu pop-up.
