2000Archives is unveiling its 2024 Pre-Fall collection, created in collaboration with the artist Bibi. The new collection will be presented at The Hyundai pop-up stores in Seoul and Daegu. The Hyundai Seoul pop-up store runs from July 31 to August 7, and The Hyundai Daegu pop-up store from August 15 to August 22. The collection will have its first unveiling at The Hyundai Seoul on July 31 and its second at The Hyundai Daegu on August 15.
Pop-up events prepared include a 5 percent discount for 2000Archives KakaoTalk Plus Friends, a photo card given with purchases of 50,000 won or more, and a lucky draw with purchases of 150,000 won or more. A DIY key ring and a listening session for Bibi's playlist, available only at the pop-up venue, have also been arranged.
2000Archives drew attention in April 2023 when it recorded 100 million won in sales over seven days at a standalone pop-up store of about 10 pyeong. It has also collaborated with OPENYY, airtomyearth, Jaded London and GRAILZ, and its collaboration with the British brand Jaded London, which has more than one million Instagram followers, was particularly widely discussed. In addition, the brand has led the ‘geek chic’ trend this year and enjoyed considerable popularity, with the so-called ‘Karina glasses’ product selling out 15 minutes after release.
Cho Seung-yeon, design team leader at 2000Archives, who led this collaboration, said, “This Pre-fall 24 collection was born through the collaboration with Bibi, in which the artist's soft, kitsch appeal and 2000Archives' own trendy yet basic design came into harmony,” adding, “By working the brand's distinctive sensibility and detail into this collection made through a collaboration with an artist, we want to bring a fresh wind to the fashion industry.”
