2000Archives Opens BIBI Collaboration Pop-Up at The Hyundai Seoul

Kyndof's 2000Archives opened a pop-up at The Hyundai Seoul on July 31 to show ‘BIBI for 2000Archives’, its 2024 Pre-Fall collection made with the artist BIBI, running through August 7.

Kyndof (CEO Kim Seon-bin) opened a pop-up store for its womenswear brand 2000Archives at The Hyundai Seoul on July 31. 2000Archives builds on the archiving of 2000s vintage brands, and its designs are characterised by a measured match between a Y2K mood and the label's own identity.

The pop-up unveiled the 2024 Pre-Fall collection ‘BIBI for 2000Archives’. It is the first time since launch that the brand has attempted essential, basic items, and the collection captures the soft yet wild appeal of the artist BIBI.

The highlight piece is a sky blue semi-cropped slim-fit track zip-up. A two-way zipper allows it to be worn several ways, and it carries a BIBI metal zipper slider and tone-on-tone BIBI symbol embroidery. The white football T-shirt stands out for its contrast colour details and two lines of Russell tape at the shoulders. Cut close to the body, it emphasises a slim line, while a wide V-neck shape gives it a sporty yet sensual mood.

Kyndof CEO Kim Seon-bin said, “It is an honour to launch a collection together with the artist BIBI. I am very glad we were able to take BIBI as a muse and make clothing by aligning our sensibilities. In Korea most artist collaborations are on goods, but 2000Archives wants to build points of contact with artists through clothing.”

The pop-up was laid out as a space that visitors to The Hyundai Seoul, 2000Archives customers and BIBI's fans can all enjoy. The ‘BIBI goods zone’ is filled with pop-up exclusive items such as photo cards, notebooks and tin cases, and visitors can listen to a playlist BIBI put together for the pop-up. At the ‘custom keyring zone’, visitors can make a keyring from parts they choose themselves, and an AirPods Max case and AirPods 3 case made in collaboration with the fashion accessory brand ANDAASH are also on show.

The Hyundai Seoul pop-up runs until August 7. A 2000Archives pop-up store will also operate at The Hyundai Daegu from August 15 to August 22.
