Kyndof Diversifies With Secretflash Online Mall and 2000Atelier B2B Service

Kyndof has diversified with Secretflash, a closed employee mall for brand inventory, and the 2000Atelier B2B system, now at 100 million won in monthly sales.

Kyndof, the company behind 2000Archives and led by chief executive Kim Sunbin, has begun diversifying its business and is picking up pace in expanding its scale. On December 13 last year it opened an online mall called Secretflash. Secretflash is a closed, employee-only joint welfare mall that sells brand inventory within the circle of employees and their networks. The system is focused on clearing stock efficiently without exposing it externally, and the entire process is kept private with the aim of minimizing any damage to brand image. In effect, the structure targets brand image management and inventory clearance at the same time.

The company is also considering additional benefits for participating employees. The plan is for the mall to become more than an inventory clearance platform and serve as a standard that strengthens the connection between the brand and its staff. “Secretflash is a solution focused on resolving the inventory problem, which has been the biggest challenge in running a brand,” Kim said. “Through it we plan to let the brand concentrate on its essential competitiveness.” Secretflash is to be extended gradually to beauty brands and the lifestyle sector.

Kyndof had earlier opened its B2B system, 2000Atelier, on November 1. 2000Atelier serves as the channel through which the company takes in stage costume production demand from corporate clients. The system has drawn approaches from a range of industries including entertainment and sports, reaching monthly sales of 100 million won two months after it started. It is currently producing stage costumes for K-pop acts including aespa and XG. Since the business began, the company has confirmed the potential for overseas expansion and is in talks on collaborations with various artists and brands in Japan. It has also started sales activity in the United States, with market entry planned for early next year. In effect, it is pursuing domestic diversification and overseas expansion at the same time.
