Atelier Design Director
Own stage costumes from design through production and quality, with the final call resting on you. You will set the design standard for 2000Atelier.
The person who makes the final call, from sketch to stage.
Great stage costumes start with a great sketch. For that sketch to read on stage, though, someone has to make countless decisions about materials, construction, fitting and finishing. As Design Director at 2000Atelier, you bring those decisions together under one standard. From JENNIE's Chicago solo stage to BLACKPINK's DEADLINE world tour, you lead the quality of pieces our designers, pattern makers, master sample maker and in-house sewing line make in about a week, all in one building.
What you'll do
- Interpret artist and stylist briefs and lead stage costume design from first concept through production.
- Lead in-house and freelance designers, assign work by project and give feedback.
- Make calls on materials, construction, patterns and fit, and work closely with the pattern room, sample room and sewing line.
- Work with our Visual Director and tech R&D to bring new, technology-driven materials and experimental approaches into stage costumes, and lead them from development through production.
- Hit comeback and tour deadlines and give final quality approval on finished pieces.
- Build shared standards such as work orders and quality checklists.
Reports to the Creative Director.
Who we're looking for
- You have personally taken stage, performance or entertainment costumes, or high-end or custom womenswear, from concept through production and fitting.
- You can judge materials, construction, pattern and fit, and explain why.
- You have led a team of designers.
- You have kept quality standards under tight timelines.
Nice to have
- Direct work with K-pop artists or stylist teams.
- Experience with stage materials such as leather, metallics, crystal and fur.
- Interest or experience in experimental, technology-driven costume work, such as wearable tech, new materials or new processes.
- International artist projects and English communication.
- Experience building work-order or quality-checklist systems.
How we work together
Full-time, based in our Seoul studio. This role is not open as a side commitment alongside your own studio or other work.

Kyndof is a Seoul brand house behind 2000Archives, womenswear born from an archive of original 2000s garments, and 2000Atelier, a custom stagewear studio for K-pop artists. Design, pattern, sewing and finishing happen under one roof, and what is proven on stage flows into ready-to-wear.
